Background & context

Der Krieg um Nordamerika wurde zwischen 1754 und 1763 selten in großen Schlachten entschieden, sondern in Überfällen auf Gehöfte, Mühlen und Vorratslager. Siedler an der Grenze zu Pennsylvania und Virginia lebten monatelang in Blockhäusern, weil französisch geführte Kriegszüge tief ins Hinterland vorstießen. Wer dort blieb, lernte schießen, spuren und Wege finden, die auf keiner Karte standen. Genau daraus rekrutierten beide Kronen ihre Kundschafter und irregulären Kompanien.

On the tabletop

Between 1754 and 1763, raids on farmsteads, mills and supply depots often mattered more in North America than large battles. The six metal woodsmen complement pack A and add different poses to your force. In Black Powder you field them as irregular scouts who know paths found on no map, lay ambushes and defend or attack supplies. Both crowns recruited such men, so you can use them on the British or the French side.
