Product details

Background & context

On the tabletop

Up front the sapper with axe and leather apron, behind him an officer, a musician, an NCO and 20 marching grenadiers: this is how you get the grenadiers of a French Revolutionary army for Black Powder. No standard bearer is included. Historically the grenadier companies were taken out of their regiments in the field and formed into separate assault battalions. As such a battalion you lead them at the head of an attacking column or hold them back for the decisive blow.
