The Fallschirmjäger Winter Platoon contains 30 plastic infantrymen in quilted winter uniforms. The box offers many head, weapon, and equipment options for commanders, early or late squads, and spotters.

The models are supplied unpainted and unassembled and are suitable for winter battles such as the Ardennes, the Eastern Front, or mountain operations in Italy.

Hintergrund & Einordnung

Paratroopers were originally trained as airborne troops, but after heavy losses on Crete, they were often deployed as elite infantry on the ground. In the later years of the war, they fought in Italy, on the Eastern Front, and also during the Ardennes Offensive. Winter equipment was particularly important in these operations because terrain and weather strongly influenced the course of the battles. This set depicts these late deployments with winter-clad infantry.

Einsatz im Spiel

The Winter Platoon depicts battle-hardened German paratroopers for late-war scenarios. The models can represent command models, squads, and spotters, bringing flexible firepower with MGs and Panzerfausts. In Bolt Action and Chain of Command, the unit is suitable for defensive positions, counter-attacks, and tough engagements in winter terrain.
