    The Cromwell Cruiser Tank was a fast British cruiser tank, used from Normandy onwards, with a 75mm gun and good off-road capability. The plastic kit includes a tank with assembly instructions, damage markers, stat cards, and decals for British, Canadian, and Polish units.

    Hintergrund & Einordnung

    According to the manufacturer, the Cromwell first saw combat in Normandy. With its 75mm gun and good cross-country mobility, it was a match for the Panzer IV, but remained inferior to the heavier German tanks, the Tiger and Panther. It was used, among others, by the 7th Armoured Division as well as in armored reconnaissance regiments of the Guards and the 11th Armoured Division. The 6th Airborne Armoured Recce Regiment also took over some Cromwells in Normandy and kept them until the fighting in the Ardennes. A typical troop consisted of three Cromwells and one Sherman Firefly.

    In the game, the Cromwell Cruiser Tank is suitable for rapid flanking maneuvers, reconnaissance, and flexible fire support. Light tanks and scout vehicles should utilize their mobility rather than seeking protracted frontal duels. In Bolt Action / Achtung Panzer! / Chain of Command, the model complements infantry and heavier vehicles with its speed, mission pressure, and responsiveness. The tags follow the buildable variants and the historical deployment profile.
