    Hintergrund & Einordnung

    During the Crimean War, the British Heavy Brigade was commanded by General Sir James York Scarlett. At Balaclava, it attacked a significantly larger Russian cavalry formation, which was already in disarray, thereby contributing to the securing of the British supply base. Its regiments included the Royal Dragoons, Scots Greys, Dragoon Guards, and Inniskilling Dragoons. Command figures represent the visible leadership structure within such cavalry units and are particularly suited for depictions of the Heavy Brigade.

    Einsatz im Spiel

    The Heavy Dragoons command figures add officers and visible leadership models to heavy British cavalry units. In games, they are particularly suitable for Black Powder deployments of the Heavy Brigade, where coordinated cavalry attacks can play a central role. In Sharp Practice, they can serve as leaders or scenario figures for smaller cavalry actions.
