Background & context

Lord Raglan commanded the British forces in the Crimean War and represents the difficult command structure of the Victorian army. Lord Campbell was a prominent British officer in this campaign and is closely associated with the Highland regiments. Captain Nolan became particularly well-known for his role in connection with the Charge of the Light Brigade. The set thus brings together three well-known figures of British Crimean War leadership.

On the tabletop

Lord Raglan, Colin Campbell and Captain Louis Nolan are the best-known faces of the British command in the Crimea, and they lead your army in Black Powder. Rules for all three are in the Into the Valley of Death supplement. Raglan fits as commander-in-chief, Campbell as the commander of the Highlanders at Balaklava and Nolan as the aide-de-camp who delivered the order for the charge of the Light Brigade. Scenarios around Balaklava get their historical leading figures with them.
