    Für die Landung in der Normandie stellte man aus Centaur-Fahrgestellen eigene Batterien auf und gab sie der Royal Marines Armoured Support Group. Vier Centaur und ein Sherman als Führungspanzer bildeten einen Troop, an den Stränden Juno, Gold und Sword standen insgesamt fünf Batterien. Geschossen wurde schon von den Landungsbooten aus, mit Granaten von fünfzehn Kilo weit ins Hinterland hinein. Ein Bug-MG trug der Centaur nicht, dafür 51 Schuss für die Haubitze.

    On the tabletop

    The Centaur Mk IV carried a 95 mm howitzer and belonged to the Royal Marines Armoured Support Group, which supported the assault troops on Juno, Gold and Sword on 6 June 1944, sometimes firing from the landing craft. Four Centaurs and a Sherman command tank formed a troop. In Bolt Action you use it against bunkers, hedgerows and infantry positions, while against tanks it is the wrong choice. It has no hull machine gun, but it is exactly right for landing scenarios.
