Hintergrund & Einordnung

British and Canadian forces fought their way through the icy lowlands of the Netherlands, across the Rhineland, and deep into Germany from the winter of 1944/45. Besides German resistance, cold, wet conditions, and difficult winter terrain took their toll - soldiers wore greatcoats, leather jerkins, and balaclavas to remain battle-ready. Scottish units within these formations wore their distinctive bonnets even in harsh winter conditions.

Einsatz im Spiel

With 30 figures and the wide weapon selection, a complete infantry platoon can be assembled from one box - from the Platoon Commander to Rifle Sections, Engineers, a PIAT team, Mortar and Flamethrower teams, and a sniper pair. This versatility makes the set the core box for any British or Canadian Late-War army. The Platoon is particularly strong in defensive scenarios and winter urban combat missions, where the special weapons and the additional equipment option for mine detectors come into their own tactically. The figures can be easily combined with other British infantry kits.
