Product details

Background & context

Between 1939 and 1942, German infantry still looked noticeably different from the later war years: long tunic, shoulder straps with branch colour, marching boots. Only Russia and Africa brought camouflage prints and more practical cuts. The figures show this early state and so suit the campaigns in Poland, the Netherlands and France rather than Normandy scenarios.

On the tabletop

Field grey uniforms without camouflage and the tall steel helmet mark these three figures as German infantry of the campaigns in Poland, the Low Countries and France. The medium mortar gives your Blitzkrieg list in Bolt Action a medium mortar team. It fires in an arc at dug-in enemies your squads should not attack head-on. The uniforms do not fit later Normandy scenarios.
