Product details

Background & context

On the tabletop

Three metal siege mortars form a battery for scenarios with fortifications in 13.5 mm Black Powder games. Their shells climb steeply and drop behind ramparts and parapets that a flat-firing field gun cannot reach. As the attacker you bombard forts and earthworks; as the defender you harass the parties digging trenches and battery positions in front of your lines. Both Union and Confederacy used such mortars, for example at Vicksburg and Petersburg.
