Product details

Background & context

Infantry regiments formed the core of both armies during the American Civil War. Linear formations and volley fire remained important, even as rifled muskets increased engagement distances. Regiments often fought in long firing lines, held together by flags and officers. Uniforms could vary greatly, especially in the early years of the war.

On the tabletop

Modelled in firing poses, the 24 resin figures and their command group show a Civil War regiment in its firing line. Paint, cap badges and flag sheet decide whether it belongs to the Union or the Confederacy. In Black Powder the regiment holds a position and fires its rifled percussion muskets at long range, making attacks across open ground costly for your opponent. The MDF fences in the box give it suitable cover straight away.
