    Product details

    Background & context

    On the tabletop

Unlike other armies, the Wehrmacht used the same weapon as a light machine gun on a bipod and as a support weapon on a tripod, the MG34 or the MG42. On the tripod the gun is steadier and, with belt feed, can keep up long bursts. Here three men in tropical shirts crew such a gun for your Afrika Korps in Bolt Action, suited to the fighting between El Agheila and El Alamein from 1941. Placed on high ground, it dominates the open desert in front of your line.
