    Background & context

    On the tabletop

Little cover and long sight lines shaped the North African desert, and that is exactly where a medium machine gun makes the most of its range. The gun is crewed by three men in tropical kit, suited to your Eighth Army in Bolt Action. Troops from Britain, India, New Zealand, Australia, South Africa and other countries served under this command, and the front swung back and forth between Tobruk, Gazala and El Alamein. Put the team on a rise and keep Axis infantry at a distance.
