Description

This Rubicon plastic kit represents the M24 Chaffee in 28mm/1:56 scale. The kit offers late US, British, Korea, French Indochina and ARVN service variants, as well as open or closed hatches, steel or rubber tracks, and matching tank commanders.

The M24 Chaffee was an American light tank of the late war and remained in service in several conflicts after 1945. This makes the model suitable for Allied late war armies as well as for Korea or Indochina scenarios.

Product details

Background & context

The M24 Chaffee was an American light tank used in the latter stages of World War II. It replaced older light tanks such as the M5 Stuart and combined good mobility with a 75mm main armament. In British service, it was named Chaffee after General Adna R. Chaffee Jr. After 1945, the M24 remained in use in the Korean War, the First Indochina War, and later in other armed forces.

On the tabletop

The M24 Chaffee is an American light tank of the final months of the war that scouts, secures the flanks and supports infantry with its 75 mm gun instead of seeking tank duels. Five commanders and conversion parts let you build vehicles for US and British units of 1944 and 1945, for the Korean War, for French troops in Indochina or for the ARVN. You also choose steel or rubber tracks and open or closed hatches.
