    This Rubicon plastic kit represents the M4A1(75) Sherman in 1:56 scale and can be built as a direct vision or small hatch variant. The kit contains 158 parts on 6 sprues, turret and mantlet options, open or closed hatches and tank crew figures.

    Historically, the M4A1 was the first mass-produced version of the M4 Sherman and was used in North Africa from Operation Torch onwards.

    Hintergrund & Einordnung

    The M4A1 was the first production version of the M4 Sherman medium tank. It featured a one-piece cast hull and was equipped with the Continental R-975 air-cooled radial engine. Its first combat deployments occurred alongside M4A2 tanks during Operation Torch in November 1942 in North Africa. Over the course of the North African campaign, M4s and M4A1s increasingly replaced M3s in American tank battalions. The 75mm version was used by, among others, the USA, Great Britain, South Africa, France in small numbers, and China.

    In the game, the M4A1(75) Sherman - DV & SH forms an armored combat unit for direct fire support and movement towards mission objectives. The tank can accompany infantry, engage enemy vehicles, and exert pressure on key terrain sections. In Bolt Action / Achtung Panzer! / Chain of Command, it is a flexible component for tank or combined arms battle groups.
