    Beschreibung

    This Rubicon plastic kit builds either an M4 Sherman Composite or a British Sherman Firefly IC Hybrid in 1:56 scale. The kit includes six sprues, turret and mantlet options, open or closed hatches, and tank crew figures.

    Historically, the set combines the widespread M4 Sherman with the Firefly variant, which was equipped by the British with the 17-pounder gun for stronger anti-tank capabilities.

    Hintergrund & Einordnung

    The M4 Sherman was the most widely used medium tank by the US and Western Allies in World War II. It was produced in large numbers and supplied to the British Commonwealth and the Soviet Union via Lend-Lease. The British Firefly variant received the Ordnance QF 17-pounder gun, improving the Sherman's anti-tank performance. The composite hull combined a cast front section with a welded rear hull area, representing later production solutions.

    In the game, the M4 Sherman Composite / Firefly Hybrid forms an armored combat unit for direct fire support and movement towards mission objectives. The tank can accompany infantry, engage enemy vehicles, and exert pressure on key terrain sections. In Bolt Action / Achtung Panzer! / Chain of Command, it is a flexible component for tank or combined arms battle groups.
