This Rubicon plastic kit optionally builds a 1/56 scale M10 Wolverine or M36 Jackson Tank Destroyer. Included are 66 parts on 3 sprues with options for multiple M10, Achilles and M36 variants.

The M10 was based on the Sherman chassis and was the main US tank destroyer of WWII; the M36 replaced the 3-inch gun with a 90mm gun. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted; ABS glue is required.

Hintergrund & Einordnung

The M10 Tank Destroyer, called Wolverine by British troops, was a US tank destroyer based on the M4 Sherman chassis with a 3-inch M7 gun. Rubicon calls it the numerically most important US tank destroyer of World War II; 6,706 vehicles were built from 1942 to 1943. British, Canadian, and Polish units used converted 17-pounder M10s as Achilles in Italy and Northwest Europe. The M36 Jackson brought a 90mm gun to the tank destroyer role, was deployed in Europe from September 1944, and was also used in the Korean War.

Einsatz im Spiel

In the game, the M10 Wolverine / M36 Jackson is primarily an anti-tank or tank destroyer option. The model is most effective when controlling fire corridors and threatening enemy vehicles at range. In Bolt Action / Achtung Panzer! / Chain of Command, it should be used with cover, positional play, and concentrated fire.
