    This Rubicon plastic kit can be built as either an M8 75mm Howitzer Motor Carriage or an M5A1 Stuart VI. With 52 parts on two sprues, openable hatches, spare road wheel, hedgerow cutter, and allied decals, it covers multiple US and allied service roles.

    Hintergrund & Einordnung

    The M5A1 was a further development of the M5 Light Tank with the larger turret of the M3A3 and went into production in early 1943. By June 1944, the US Army had almost completely switched to the M5A1; it was also used by the US Marine Corps as well as by British, Canadian, Polish, and French troops. The M8 75mm Howitzer Motor Carriage was based on the M5 chassis and was intended for indirect fire support of armored reconnaissance units. The M8 served in Italy, Northwest Europe, and the Pacific, while the M5A1 was primarily used for reconnaissance and security tasks.

    Einsatz im Spiel

    The kit can be used as an M5A1 Stuart or M8 Scott, thus covering two roles in the game. As a Stuart, it is a fast light tank for reconnaissance, flanking, and hunting soft targets.
