Product details

Background & context

Numbers 506 to 510 were only raised in 1943 and 1944, when the Tiger had long since ceased to be a surprise. The 508 was stuck in front of Anzio in the spring of 1944, and the 510 ended in the Courland Pocket. The Hermann Göring Division is the odd one out, because it belonged to the Luftwaffe and not to the Heer, and it carried its own badge from Tunisia by way of Sicily to the East.

On the tabletop

This sheet gives you the markings for Tigers and King Tigers of heavy tank battalions 506 to 510, plus those of the Hermann Göring Division. The battalions were raised in 1943 and 1944; the 508th was at Anzio in spring 1944 and the 510th ended up in the Courland Pocket. That lets you fix where and when your heavy tanks are fighting. The decals go on the hull or turret after painting.
