Product details

Background & context

The 130th Panzer Division is better known as Panzer Lehr: raised from training units, sent to Normandy in 1944 fully equipped and smashed there within weeks. The 116th bore a greyhound in its insignia and fought in the Hürtgen Forest and in the Ardennes. Corps insignia, in turn, were carried on vehicles that were not permanently assigned to any division, for instance with engineers and supply units.

On the tabletop

This sheet covers the late Panzer Divisions 20 to 27 and adds the signs of the 116th and 130th plus those of Panzer corps. The 130th is better known as Panzer Lehr and fought in Normandy in 1944, while the 116th carried a greyhound in its emblem. For armies from this late phase, or for vehicles of a corps staff, you will find the right markings here. Apply them after painting.
