A Norman homestead made up of three buildings, UV-printed in full colour. The main building has removable levels and a ruined ground floor, while two outbuildings round off the farmyard.

Background & context

A Norman farm rarely consisted of a single house. Around the yard stood the farmhouse, barn, stables and smaller buildings such as a bakehouse or a press house where apples were pressed for cider. In 1944 these sprawling layouts gave defenders many positions in a small space. For attacking infantry, every farmstead meant a small house-to-house fight of its own.

On the tabletop

The main building is 26 cm long and holds a whole infantry squad. Lift off its levels one by one to reach the models inside, and swap in the ruined ground floor once the house has taken a beating. Place the two outbuildings freely around the main house to create corners, passages and hidden angles. That way a whole quarter of your Normandy table gains a clear layout.
