Product details

Background & context

Between anti-tank ditches and bunkers, a battlefield lives on its small stuff: signposts at crossroads, sandbag positions at doorways, drums and crates at every improvised depot. Hedgehog obstacles and wire come from the field fortification doctrine of the inter-war years and turned up from the Eastern Front to the Atlantic Wall. It is exactly these details that tell the viewer where a unit stands and where it is heading, without a single building being needed.

On the tabletop

This assortment fills the gaps between larger terrain pieces in Bolt Action. Use the signposts and the decal sheet to label crossroads or warn of mines, sandbags protect a doorway, and hedgehogs with 2 m of barbed wire make a roadblock. Telegraph poles run a line along the roadside, while crates and oil drums stack up into a small depot. Infantry finds light cover in between.
