Background & context

In street fighting tanks lost much of their advantage. Rubble and walls limited what the crew could see, and infantry with close-range weapons such as the Panzerfaust, bazooka or PIAT could get within striking distance. For that reason tanks in towns usually advanced together with infantry, who searched ruins and cellars ahead of them.

On the tabletop

With the included Ambush markers you can turn the ruin into a possible strongpoint that enemy tanks have to respect. Your opponent cannot be sure whether anti-tank weapons are waiting behind the walls, so he has to move his vehicles with more care. The piece also gives cover to infantry along a street. Place it at crossroads or choke points that vehicles must pass.
