Product details

Background & context

A village in the Soviet Union had small workshops where blacksmiths and carpenters kept carts, ploughs and tools in repair. Major repairs to tractors were handled by the state machine and tractor stations, each serving several collective farms. In wartime, troops used such workshops to patch up vehicles and equipment, and during retreats machinery was often wrecked or carried off.

On the tabletop

A small infantry squad fits inside the workshop once you take off the roof. At 9.4 cm tall it stays low and rounds off a farmyard as an outbuilding. You build the doors open or closed. It brings a piece of everyday life between the houses of an Eastern Front village and gives cover along lanes and yard entrances.
