Product details

Background & context

From mid-September 1942 there was fierce fighting for the city centre with its station, square and department store. The main railway station changed hands several times within a few days, and Soviet reinforcements had to cross the Volga under fire. Tall buildings around the central square gave both sides a view over the streets and landing stages.

On the tabletop

As the tallest part of the store, the left section suits riflemen watching the field from above. Occupy the top floor first, as from there the view reaches over walls and low ruins. Its compact footprint also lets it stand alone as a corner building at a crossroads. Only with the Univermag Front and Univermag Right, both available separately, is the store complete.
