Product details

Background & context

Schools, administrative buildings and workers' clubs were among the more solid structures in the city, built of brick and stone rather than timber. After the heavy German air raid of 23 August 1942, many of them stood as burnt-out shells. Their thick walls made them sought-after strongpoints in the street fighting that followed, attacked again and again by both sides at heavy cost.

On the tabletop

At 25.5 cm long, this wing stretches far along a street and screens much of the ground behind it. Use the balcony as a raised post for an observer or a lone rifleman. Spread your infantry across the ground floor and the first floor. With the separately available School Right you build the full school and create a focal point in the middle of the town.
