Product details

Background & context

In the 1930s Stalingrad had grown into one of the major industrial cities of the Soviet Union, with works, workers' settlements and docks along the riverbank. By autumn 1942 the factory halls lay right on the main line of battle. Collapsed roofs, steel girders and wrecked machinery offered cover, and Soviet units used the halls to cling on close to the Volga.

On the tabletop

The entrance gate is how your vehicles reach the hall, which makes it a spot your opponent will want to keep under fire. Place anti-tank teams or a machine gun so they cover the approach in front of the gate. Inside, the hall has enough room for infantry and armoured vehicles side by side. Add the separately available Factory Back to assemble a complete factory.
