Background & context

Before and during the landings, Allied battleships and cruisers shelled the Normandy coast, and their heavy guns reached far inland. Add the artillery of both sides and the air raids, and in many villages hardly a house was left undamaged. Among the broken walls infantrymen often fought at a distance of a few metres, while civilians sheltered in cellars.

On the tabletop

Set this ruined house in the middle of the table as a contested point both sides fight over. The remaining walls protect the infantry holding it and break up the view along the street. Any attacker first has to cross the open ground in front. The colours are already printed, so all that is left is gluing the parts together. It works for games in Normandy 1944.
