    Product details

    Background & context

In the first half of the 20th century sheet metal, usually corrugated, was a cheap and quick material for sheds, garages and storehouses. On Norman farms such utility buildings stood beside old stone and timber-framed houses. Their thin walls offered hardly any protection from gunfire, but they did block sight, so soldiers in 1944 often used them as hiding places or stores.

    On the tabletop

Place the tin shed by a farm entrance or next to a workshop and it reads as a quickly built utility building. Inside there is room for a medium infantry squad or a small vehicle; just lift off the roof to put them in. The gate opens or closes during the game, while the doors are fixed when you build it. It suits any rural Normandy 1944 table.
