Product details

Background & context

On the tabletop

Eight pikemen with separate pikes fill out your pike block of the Wars of Religion era in Pike & Shotte, or form the front of a new unit. The pike only worked when many men stood in close ranks and the front ranks lowered their points, at which point the block kept any cavalry at bay. Whether in the Netherlands or in France, 16th-century shot fought under the protection of such a block. With the arquebusiers from the same range you build a mixed regiment.
