Background & context

Suppression, disorganisation and loss of morale were often as decisive in combat as direct casualties. Bolt Action translates these effects into Pin Markers, which represent the mounting pressure on individual units. The more pins a unit receives, the more its ability to act in the game is restricted. The markers are therefore not a historical object in the strict sense but an aid for representing combat stress and suppression.

On the tabletop

Instead of dice or cotton wool, you place these three-dimensional plastic pin markers behind your unit in Bolt Action. Clip the two-part markers from the frame and push them together, and at around 22 mm tall they can be seen right across the table. Add one marker for each pin, so everyone sees at once how heavily a squad is already suppressed.
