    Background & context

    Das 7,5-cm-LeIG 18 gehörte seit den dreißiger Jahren zur Ausstattung jedes deutschen Infanterieregiments und blieb bis zuletzt im Dienst. Es war kurz, leicht und von sechs Mann zu schieben, was in Häuserkampf und Waldgelände mehr wert war als Reichweite. In den Waffen-SS-Verbänden der späten Jahre stand es genauso in der Linie wie beim Heer, oft als einzige Feuerunterstützung, die eine Kompanie selbst befehlen konnte.

    On the tabletop

    In Bolt Action the light infantry gun 18 is a light howitzer with a short 7.5 cm barrel. It accompanies your Waffen-SS infantry and engages MG nests, buildings and trenches, either in an arc or over open sights. Its low profile makes it easy to hide behind hedges and walls, and most vehicles can tow it. Set the gun and its three crew figures together on the 60 mm round base.
