    Hintergrund & Einordnung

    Viking armies consisted of free warriors, retainers, and better-equipped fighters who gathered for raids, settlement wars, or major campaigns, depending on the occasion. Spears, axes, swords, and shields characterized their fighting style, while the shield wall played a central tactical role. The variety of equipment options allows for depictions ranging from simple Bondi to experienced Hirdmen. Thus, the set covers a broad spectrum of Viking Age warrior culture.

    Einsatz im Spiel

    The Vikings set is a large plastic box for flexible Viking Age infantry. In Hail Caesar, it can be used to build several units for shieldwall, assault, and reserve. In SAGA and Pillage, the box provides enough models for various warrior and elite options for a warband. For Lion Rampant, the figures can be used as medium or heavy foot soldiers with command details.
