    The Victrix Medieval Foot Sergeants are a plastic kit containing 32 foot soldiers from the late 12th to late 13th centuries. Included are numerous polearms, spears, two-handed axes, hand weapons, and musician and standard bearer options. The set can be used for Crusades, Baron's War, Reconquista, and other feudal conflicts in Europe.

    Sergeanten waren keine Ritter, aber auch kein Bauernhaufen: bezahlte Berufskämpfer aus Städten und Ministerialenfamilien, die in den Kreuzfahrerstaaten oft die Mehrheit eines Aufgebots stellten. Templer und Johanniter führten eigene Sergeantenverbände in eigener Tracht. Geschützt wurden sie meist durch Gambeson oder Aketon, häufig beides übereinander und mit hochgestelltem Polsterkragen am Hals; wer es sich leisten konnte, trug ein Kettenhemd darüber.

    On the tabletop

    The 32 foot sergeants are the paid professional soldiers between the knights and the common levy. Every man can carry a polearm, and there are also two-handed axes, spears and arms with sword, hand axe, mace or batwing cleaver. With their long weapons the unit keeps horsemen at bay and covers your knights. Painted as Templar or Hospitaller sergeants, or as troops from France, Italy or the Empire, they suit the Crusades as well as the Reconquista.
