    Product details

    Background & context

Bondi were free men of Norse society, often farmers or landowners, who bore arms in times of war. As part of a Viking force, they could form shield wall formations and take part in raids or local conflicts. Their role lies between that of common levies and well-equipped retainers. The miniatures are therefore a good basis for the core of a Viking army.

    On the tabletop

Eight metal Bondi widen your Viking shield wall in Hail Caesar, SAGA or Pillage. As free farmers, fishermen and craftsmen they crewed the longships that raided England's monasteries from 793 and appeared as the Great Heathen Army in 865. In battle they stand behind or beside the armoured hirdmen and form the bulk of your line. The poses mix well with the other Bondi packs.
