    Background & context

    In Nordafrika war der Mk VIB anfangs das, was die 8th Army an Panzern in Masse hatte. Die Besatzungen nutzten Tempo und Staubfahnen statt Panzerung, sicherten Aufklärungslinien und hielten Kontakt zum Gegner. Gegen italienische Tanketten reichten die Vickers-MGs, gegen die Panzer des Afrikakorps nicht mehr. Ab 1942 verschwanden die Leichtpanzer aus den Fronteinheiten und dienten noch als Zug- und Übungsfahrzeuge.

    On the tabletop

    This desert version of the Vickers Mk VIB belongs with the British troops of the first battles in North Africa, when light Vickers tanks still made up a large share of the armour. In Bolt Action it is a fast scout: guard the flanks, hunt enemy reconnaissance and get out of the way of guns in time. Its machine guns are enough against Italian tankettes, but not against the tanks of the Afrika Korps. A metal crewman is included.
