    Background & context

    Zwischen 1936 und 1940 verließen rund 1.000 Panzer der Mk-VI-Reihe die britischen Werke, der VIB war die vereinfachte Fertigungsvariante des VIA. Bewaffnet mit einem .303er und einem .50er Vickers-MG war er als Ersatz für die Kavallerie gedacht: sehen, melden, wieder weg. In Frankreich 1940 traf diese Rolle auf deutsche Panzer mit Kanonen, und die Rechnung ging nicht auf. Bis besserer Nachschub kam, blieb er trotzdem das Rückgrat der britischen Aufklärung.

    On the tabletop

    Around 1,000 tanks of the Mk VI series were built between 1936 and 1940, and the Mk VIB is the easier-to-produce variant of the VIA, with a .303 and a .50 Vickers machine gun. Small and agile, it is well suited to scouting, but its armour is too weak for firefights. In Bolt Action you send it ahead in British lists for France in 1940, find the enemy and rake exposed infantry. Avoid tank duels; a crewman is included.
