Hintergrund & Einordnung

Veteran Grenadiers represent battle-hardened German Army infantrymen of the late war period 1944-45, who confronted the massed Allied attacks on both the Eastern and Western Fronts. Armed with the Sturmgewehr 44 - the world's first modern assault rifle - they were often superior to their opponents in terms of weaponry, but disadvantaged in numbers and logistics. From hedges, ruined cities, and woods, they offered tenacious resistance against the Allied advance, from the Bocage in Normandy to the last lines of defense in the German Reich.

Einsatz im Spiel

In the game, Veteran Grenadiers serve as an elite unit for Bolt Action and Chain of Command. Equipped with the StG 44 assault rifle, they possess high firepower at short and medium range, ideal for holding contested positions or as a spearhead when assaulting fortified positions. The compact 10-man setup is perfect as a reinforced rifle squad or veteran squad within a Late-War Army Platoon. Especially effective in urban combat and rubble scenarios on both the Eastern and Western Fronts.
