Product details

Background & context

The US Army was the most heavily motorised army in the world during the Second World War. Drivers moved troops, ammunition and rations in jeeps and 2.5 ton trucks, for example on the Red Ball Express across France after the Normandy landings. Behind the front they often drove alone through areas where stray enemy soldiers could still be hiding. Many carried the light M1 carbine, introduced for soldiers whose main job was something other than fighting.

On the tabletop

A vehicle with nobody at the wheel looks abandoned on the table. Put this figure into open vehicles of your American army in Bolt Action, jeeps above all. With his carbine in hand he fits runs through contested ground and reconnaissance drives. Combined with the jeep gunner from the same range, an armed jeep is fully crewed.
