    Hintergrund & Einordnung

    The US airborne troops of World War II were among the most rigorously trained units of the Western Allies. Specifically trained for operations behind enemy lines, their mission was to secure key positions before conventional forces advanced. Their deployments ranged from the coastal areas of Northern France to the wintry Ardennes, where they endured extreme conditions. The combination of intensive training, high personal motivation, and superior individual weaponry made these soldiers one of the most feared adversaries on the Western Front.

    Einsatz im Spiel

    A 10-man US Paratrooper squad in M42 jump uniform - the standard squad unit for the 82nd and 101st Airborne from D-Day onwards. In Bolt Action, US Paratroopers are veterans with good stats, Tough Fighters and Stubborn - perfect for aggressive advances and hold-the-line scenarios like Bastogne. The SMG, BAR, and Garand mix makes the squad effective in both assault and positional combat. In Chain of Command, the squad is the core unit for Operation Market Garden or Normandy lists.
