Product details

Background & context

The US airborne troops of World War II were among the most rigorously trained units of the Western Allies. Specifically trained for operations behind enemy lines, their mission was to secure key positions before conventional forces advanced. Their deployments ranged from the coastal areas of Northern France to the wintry Ardennes, where they endured extreme conditions. The combination of intensive training, high personal motivation, and superior individual weaponry made these soldiers one of the most feared adversaries on the Western Front.

On the tabletop

Ten metal figures make a complete squad of American paratroopers for Bolt Action, for the 101st, 82nd or 17th Airborne. An NCO and two men with submachine guns, a two-man light machine gun team and five soldiers with rifle or carbine are already set. This gives the squad firepower at close range and its own base of fire in the machine gun. Actions such as Sainte-Mère-Église, Carentan, Nijmegen or Bastogne provide the setting for your games.
