Background & context

The M1 Garand gave the US infantry an advantage that paid off in every firefight: eight rounds semi-automatic, without working the bolt after every shot. German soldiers reported that an American squad sounded like twice as many men as it actually numbered. In return, the bright ping of the ejected clip gave away that someone was reloading, a sound experienced opponents waited for.

On the tabletop

In firing poses, these three pewter figures form the firing line of your US infantry. Place them behind walls, hedges or a railway embankment, from where they pin the enemy down while other parts of your platoon advance. As bodies, arms and heads come as 18 separate parts, you can turn each figure in its own direction. With the M1 Garand, American sections had eight semi-automatic rounds per clip, for actions between 1942 and 1945.
