    Hintergrund & Einordnung

    As the war progressed, parts of the US armed forces developed into experienced combat troops who were deployed under the most adverse conditions. Especially in the winter months of the final phase of World War II, cold, difficult terrain and a tenacious enemy demanded everything from the soldiers. Those who survived this phase were considered battle-hardened and possessed a determination rarely achieved by units without this experience. These veterans embody the image of the Allied infantryman in its most mature form.

    Einsatz im Spiel

    A 10-man US Veterans squad in winter gear. Veterans in Bolt Action have improved statistics (higher morale, better to-hit values) and are therefore the ideal player anchor for decisive advances or defensive lines. The winter equipment places the squad directly in the Battle of the Bulge, December 1944 - Hold-the-Line scenarios like Bastogne or Saint-Vith benefit from this tough elite troop. In Chain of Command, the squad is a rare Senior Section with better dice performance.
