Product details

Background & context

As the war progressed, parts of the US armed forces developed into experienced combat troops who were deployed under the most adverse conditions. Especially in the winter months of the final phase of World War II, cold, difficult terrain and a tenacious enemy demanded everything from the soldiers. Those who survived this phase were considered battle-hardened and possessed a determination rarely achieved by units without this experience. These veterans embody the image of the Allied infantryman in its most mature form.

On the tabletop

These ten metal figures give you experienced US infantry of the winter of 1944/45 for Bolt Action, suited to the Hürtgen Forest and the Ardennes. Veterans like these can be trusted with difficult tasks, but they are not invulnerable. Advance them behind cover, support them with other units, or carry them quickly to an objective in a vehicle. For games on the Western Front in the last winter of the war they form the core of your infantry.
