Product details

Background & context

The 75mm Pack Howitzer was an important weapon for the US Army in World War II. The guns were used to engage infantry, vehicles, or fortified positions from a distance. In a tabletop context, the model represents light and mobile fire support and adds a clearly recognizable support role to armies.

On the tabletop

Not only paratroopers and Marines used the 75 mm pack howitzer; army units such as the 10th Mountain Division hauled it through the Apennines. For your US Army in Bolt Action it is a light howitzer in the artillery platoon that any jeep can tow. Use it to drop arcing fire on infantry behind cover while your rifle squads advance. Three US Army crew figures form the team.
