    The M8/M20 Greyhound Scout Car Platoon contains three unmounted and unpainted 28mm/1:56 scale plastic vehicles. The kits include the armed M8 Greyhound with a 37mm turret, as well as the M20 Utility Car for command and reconnaissance roles.

    Hintergrund & Einordnung

    The M8 Greyhound was originally designed for an anti-tank role but was used as a reconnaissance armored car after poor performance against German tanks. It served with American and British forces, combining high road speed with light armor and a 37mm cannon. The M20 Utility Car replaced the turret with an open fighting compartment with additional radio capability and was primarily used as a command vehicle. The vehicles appeared in Italy from late 1943 onwards and were particularly used by US cavalry units for reconnaissance and mobile combat groups.

    Einsatz im Spiel

    In the game, the M8/M20 Greyhound Scout Car Platoon primarily handles reconnaissance, flank security, and rapid mission work. The vehicle should leverage its mobility and line-of-sight control rather than seeking frontal tank duels. In Bolt Action / Achtung Panzer! / Chain of Command, it complements tank and infantry forces with speed, responsiveness, and mission pressure. The unit tags are therefore oriented towards reconnaissance rather than a classic tank role.
