Background & context

Fallschirmjäger springen leicht und landen selten dort, wo ihr Nachschub liegt. In der Normandie verstreute sich das abgeworfene Material über Kilometer, bei Market Garden kam es tagelang gar nicht an - also nahm man, was der Gegner liegen gelassen hatte. Die Panzerfaust war besonders begehrt, weil die eigene Bazooka schwer war und Munition knapp; die 82nd Airborne sammelte sie sogar auf Befehl ein.

On the tabletop

Four US paratroopers with captured German weapons, including the Panzerfaust, show in Bolt Action how airborne troops made do without resupply. The 82nd Airborne was even ordered to bring back as many Panzerfausts as possible. Mix the figures into your Airborne squads to represent captured weapons and Panzerfausts there. They suit games in Normandy, at Market Garden and in the Ardennes.
