Hintergrund & Einordnung

The Pathfinders of the US Airborne Divisions were elite volunteers who were the first to deploy in airborne operations. Their task was to mark drop zones and set up specialized equipment to guide subsequent transport aircraft - often under enemy fire and without support. After the main jump, they rejoined their units as regular infantry. In winter operations like the Battle of the Bulge, they proved themselves under extreme conditions.

Einsatz im Spiel

Pathfinder squads were the vanguard of US airborne operations - specialists who landed before the main drop and marked drop zones. Dressed in winter gear, the set places the squad in the Battle of the Bulge in December 1944. In Bolt Action, Pathfinders are Veterans with Tough Fighters, Stubborn, and usually special rules for hidden starting positions - perfect for players who rely on flanking maneuvers and ambushes.
