    Background & context

    On the tabletop

Set up and ready to fire, this team of three paratroopers shows a .30 cal machine gun in a fixed position for your US Airborne list in Bolt Action. Without tanks and with little artillery, an airborne regiment's firepower lay mainly with its machine guns. Place the team at crossroads, dykes or woodland edges and close a field of fire from there, as the defenders of Bastogne did. The redeploying version complements it.
