Product details

Background & context

In the '47 conflict universe, Soviet scientists developed a weapon utilizing ursine DNA to create an 8-foot tall man/bear hybrid capable of matching any Enhanced Infantry on the 1947 battlefields. Standard Ursus fight with tooth and claw - the clubbed variant equips some units with massive Rift-Tech alloy bludgeons, capable of smashing through opponents in full power armor in close combat. Powerful but difficult to control, Ursus are often unleashed in hotly contested areas where they are meant to tip the balance of power. On the tabletop, they are almost invincible in close combat - tough and strong enough to mow down any enemy force in their path. Since they invariably draw enemy fire, they are ideally transported in a truck (5 Ursus fit in a standard truck) or protected by waves of regular infantry until they reach the enemy.

On the tabletop

Three metal Ursus with heavy clubs add close-combat fighters over two metres tall to your Soviet army in Konflikt '47. These man-bear hybrids can only partly be controlled, so you commit them deliberately to a sector of the front you want to break. Lead them up to the enemy under cover and then charge. Together with the Ursus with claws or mauls they make a larger bear squad.
