Hintergrund & Einordnung

According to Warlord, the Japanese Type 97 light truck was based on the Isuzu TX40 and shared components with the Type 94 truck. Warlord describes the Type 97 as an important truck of the Imperial Japanese Army, found in almost all areas of the Pacific War until the end of the conflict. Japanese trucks were often designed to be narrow to suit local road conditions. The high ground clearance helped on uneven terrain, while the vehicles were rather heavy compared to British counterparts.

The Type 97 Isuzu Truck is a transport vehicle for Japanese armies. In the game, it transports infantry, supplies, or scenario cargo across the battlefield faster. As an unarmored truck, it should not be sent into direct fire zones.
