Hintergrund & Einordnung

The Type 95 Ha-Go was the most numerous armored fighting vehicle of the Japanese forces during WWII. It was developed as an infantry support tank to replace the slower Type 89 Yi-Go and could reach about 28 mph on roads. It was armed with a 37mm main gun and two machine guns, one of which was in the turret rear. In the early years of the war, the Ha-Go was useful, but it increasingly fell behind when facing stronger Allied tanks. Its widespread use also made it the basis for several Japanese conversions, including the Ka-Mi and Ke-Nu.
